SEC's Together We Can Food Drive 2011: |

Rodger Hunter,
SAAC/CHAMPS and Life Skills Coordinator at UA, and
Razorback football player, Daunte Carr made a
presentation to the Roadhogs on Saturday morning,
January 29th at the Roadhogs Board Meeting. Daunte
is also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee (SAAC). The meeting was held at Liberty
Bank on West 6th St in Fayetteville.
Rodger and
Daunte expressed their appreciation to the Roadhogs
for our participation in the SEC "Together We Can"
Food Drive,
and
presented the Roadhogs a football featuring a
picture of SAAC members.
They shared
that the total food collected by all SEC
schools combined was somewhere under 120,000 pounds.
Of that amount, the University of Arkansas collected
approximately 93,000 pounds! They said that their
goal next year is to raise more than 100,000 pounds.
The Roadhogs'
contribution to the total collected by the UA was
5,134 pounds this past fall. |
